Welcome to the DHLGH Metadata Registry.

The Metadata Registry is a repository that organises, manages, and maintains metadata (data about data) across the Department in a structured and controlled manner.

This initiative supports the Department’s Data Strategy, building on the Data Strategy Foundations Sprint (2021–2024) and continuing under the Data Strategy Emergency Action Sprint (2025–2027), with a focus on data governance and standardisation.

The Registry currently contains metadata primarily related to Housing, with the gradual inclusion of additional metadata from other areas over time.

The Metadata Registry supports visibility of the Department’s data assets and provides a common foundation for documentation, governance, and consistent use of information.
